Abstract: To save cooking time and eat healthy rice, a design proposal of intelligent rice cooker remotely-controlled by short message service is put forward. The intelligent rice cooker has the functions of measuring rice, washing rice, adding water and starting rice cooker automatically, which is controlled by short message service remotely, and in which the electromechanical integration technology is adopted. The mechanical structures of measuring rice, washing rice and adding water of the intelligent rice cooker are automatically controlled by HT46RU232 SCM taken as main control chip. C language is used to write the software of control system. The experimental prototype was completed and tested. The results show that the cooking time and the amount of rice can be set up by mobile phone. Measuring rice, washing rice and cooking can be automatically realized by only a few simple steps. The cooker with advantages of convenient use and keeping rice nutrition can be used widely in people's daily life.
